NBC12 First Alert Weather App Reviews

Used to love this app. Now with latest version you get a splash screen that covers everything for a few seconds at every single launch. Even if you just opened it a minute ago. Ill accept the banner ads as theyve always been but this new feature is more annoying than any other app Ive seen. Will be my last resort app for weather.

I decided to delete the app because every single time I open the app a giant add more pop up which I would have to wait for before I could proceed

I love this app. It works around the world. My main beef is that the hi/low forecasts should be low/hi to let you know what the low is going to be overnight-nit picky but it took a while to figure it out.

I hope this update gets rid of the BNW Builders ad. I dont need to see a BNW Builders ad every time I open this app. Please Remove.

The overall app is great, but could use some improvements... •Needs an option to pay to remove ads •Needs a new version(update) of the app to look nicer for iOS 8 Thats all I have. Those two things would be great. Thanks!

The app is one of my favorite weather apps, but it needs a way to pay for ad removal. Of course theres the iAds that run inside the app but now theres a startup ad that one must wait for before being able to use the app; Very Annoying!

I loved this app until the last update came out. It changed everything about navigating thru all of the other categories making it harder to use. I disliked the new version so much, I deleted it.

This new version is not user-friendly at all! Please go back to the previous navigation bar!

Latest update is worse to date. The map is too small, still have terrible ads, and navigation to other areas take more steps then ever before. Deleting

This was my go to weather app. I even tolerated the very annoying BNW ad that always came up first. I hoped this update would just fix the fact that sometimes it couldnt get a connection and would quit or crash, but I find its been entirely redesigned--and ruined in my estimation. My advice: either dont update or get the Channel 4 DC weather app and use current location. Its the old version and works.

Updated 4/24/15... The new interface adds more confusion and requirements for user interaction than should be necessary. Why do developers always think they need to make it look better, when they should have just focused on startup speed and stopping crashes. I am so tired of this, it is time to remove the app. I have experimented with a number of the top apps and stumbled across "Storm"... If you like the way NBC12 used to work, but dont anymore... then try this new app. Old Comments Early 2015... Granted, the startup of the app was so unstable it needed an update. Unfortunately, the in your face advertising remains as do the crashes... Ads wouldnt be too bad if there was a $0.99 Ad Free version, but no such luck. Now, the update. I am very depressed at the look and feel of the update. I just do not like it... if I want maps at start now it takes extra effort to do so. Come on guys, set up a user group before you update. I wish the App Store allowed us to rate Zero stars... because that is what it would get.

As an iOS user the app seems to be easy to adapt to. Really like how easy it is to navigate between screens and when looking at the week glance how easy it is to get the details by tapping that day. Good job by your web people!

This new version is obviously for a phone and is ridiculous on my iPad. Why it wanted me to update to this is beyond me. Update: for some reason I decided to try the app again and this time it was actually an iPad app, not just a phone app writ large. Upgrading my rating to just 2 stars because of that glitch, however, since most folks will probably never see the optimized version.
